Control Center handles the licensed package. NinjaTrader runs the strategy. This guide takes you from an approved account to a verified DailyFLBAlgo instance without manual DLL moves or mystery settings.
NinjaTrader 8 Desktop and FLB Control Center both run on Windows. Use only the official download links shown here. Guide verified August 7, 2026.

an hour later.
Do these checks before downloading anything. Installation is simple when the entitlement, machine, and NinjaTrader state all agree.
Install NinjaTrader 8 first
Download NinjaTrader Desktop from NinjaTrader's official portal. Open it once so its Documents folder exists, then save your workspace and close it before the FLB package install.
Keep the setup sheet open
The DLL does not hard-code an interval or trading-hours template. Your current FLB setup sheet is the authority for those fields.
Start flat
Use a flat simulation account for first launch. Do not attach a newly installed strategy to an account with an open position or working orders.
Install where NinjaTrader runs
Run Control Center and NinjaTrader under the same Windows user on the same computer or VPS. The FLB license is issued for that machine.
Know the active MES contract
Use the current contract specified by the setup sheet and verify NinjaTrader's rollover before enabling the strategy.
Do not manually import the old DailyFLBAlgo ZIP.
The current path is Control Center. It verifies access, downloads the current package, and places the assembly in NinjaTrader's bin\Custom folder.
PART ONE · NINJATRADER 8 DESKTOP
Install the platform.
Open it once.
DailyFLBAlgo runs inside NinjaTrader 8 Desktop for Windows. Install the platform before Control Center so the required NinjaTrader folders exist.
Download NinjaTrader 8 from NinjaTrader
Open NinjaTrader's official account portal, sign in or create a NinjaTrader user account, then download the current NinjaTrader Desktop installer. A NinjaTrader brokerage account is not required just to access the Desktop download.
Prop-firm users: confirm the supported version before upgrading.
If your evaluation or prop firm specifies a NinjaTrader version or connection procedure, follow its current instructions. An unrequested platform upgrade can affect a firm's integration.
Install NinjaTrader Desktop for Windows
Run the NinjaTrader installer and complete its setup using the same Windows user that will run FLB Control Center. DailyFLBAlgo requires NinjaTrader 8 Desktop; NinjaTrader Web and the mobile app cannot load this strategy.
Launch once, then fully close NinjaTrader
Open NinjaTrader 8 once and allow it to finish creating its Documents folder. Confirm the Control Center opens, save the workspace, then exit NinjaTrader completely before installing DailyFLBAlgo through FLB Control Center.
NinjaTrader is ready when its Control Center has opened successfully.
You will return to NinjaTrader after the FLB package installation and add DailyFLBAlgo from the Strategies tab.
PART TWO · CONTROL CENTER
Get the installer.
Get the right access.
The permanent FLB download link resolves to the current required Control Center build, so this page never strands you on an old version.
Download from First Light Beacon
Select the official button below. Your browser downloads FLB-Control-Center-Setup.exe from downloads.firstlightbeacon.com.
Windows SmartScreen may appear on the current unsigned installer.
Confirm the file came directly from downloads.firstlightbeacon.com. If it did, select More info, verify the FLB filename, and then Run anyway. Never disable SmartScreen globally and never use an installer sent through chat or an unknown mirror.
Run the setup
Open the downloaded EXE and complete the installer. Control Center installs for the current Windows user under Local AppData and the app itself does not need administrator elevation.
- Keep the default install location unless support tells you otherwise.
- Launch FLB Control Center when setup finishes.
- If setup reports a missing dependency, install Microsoft's WebView2 Evergreen Runtime, then run setup again.
Sign in with the account that owns access
Control Center gives you three valid paths. Use whichever resolves to the same email attached to the approved plan.
SIGN INorEMAIL ME A SIGN-IN LINKorSIGN IN WITH WHOP
- Email + password: enter the FLB account credentials directly.
- Email link: open the fresh link from the same machine; expired links can be resent.
- Whop: finish in the browser and leave Control Center open; it completes automatically.
Successful sign-in registers the machine and refreshes the local license.
No activation key is needed. Daily FLB Algo should show ACTIVE when the entitlement is approved.
PART THREE · PRODUCT INSTALL
One button in Control Center.
One required restart.
Control Center installs the licensed Daily FLB Algo assembly directly. Keep NinjaTrader closed until the install dialog is finished.
Fully close NinjaTrader 8
Save your workspace, close NinjaTrader, and wait for it to exit. Control Center blocks package installs while NinjaTrader or NinjaTrader Core is running so files cannot be replaced mid-session.
Do not continue with open positions or working orders.
Verify and manage them through the broker or prop-firm platform before closing NinjaTrader.
Open the Automation library
From Control Center Home, open NinjaTrader Tools, then select the Automation filter. Do not use Install Updates for a first-time install.

Install Daily FLB Algo
Find the Daily FLB Algo card. Confirm its license badge says ACTIVE, then select INSTALL. Let the progress window finish without reopening NinjaTrader.
- The current product is flb-daily-algo.
- Control Center validates the package and installs DailyFLBAlgo.dll in NinjaTrader's bin\Custom folder.
- When complete, the card changes from Not installed to Installed with its version.
If the badge says NO ACCESS, stop.
Do not buy again or copy a DLL from another machine. Sign out, use SIGN IN WITH WHOP on the approved account, and contact support if access still does not refresh.
Install HeartBeat if your plan includes it
Return to NinjaTrader Tools, choose Utilities, and install FLB HeartBeat from its ACTIVE card. HeartBeat uses a separate elevated installer, so accept the expected Windows UAC prompt and wait for Control Center to finish.

Restart NinjaTrader 8
Start NinjaTrader only after both installs finish. On startup, NinjaTrader loads the new custom assembly. Leave Control Center installed; it maintains licensed access and future updates.
PART FOUR · NINJATRADER 8
Add the strategy.
Review every field.
Run DailyFLBAlgo from NinjaTrader's Strategies tab. This keeps the strategy visible in one place and lets you confirm its status without leaving a chart open.
Connect NinjaTrader to market data
Open NinjaTrader 8 and connect to the provider that exposes the account you intend to use. For the first test, select a real-time simulation or playback connection and use Sim101.

Create a new strategy instance
Open the Strategies tab in NinjaTrader Control Center. Right-click inside the grid and select New Strategy.... Choose DailyFLBAlgo from Available strategies and add it.
STRATEGIES TAB→RIGHT-CLICK→NEW STRATEGY...→DAILYFLBALGO
The current strategy name is DailyFLBAlgo.
Do not select similarly named development or legacy scripts.
Set the operating fields
Read top to bottom before selecting OK. Defaults prove the software loaded; they are not a substitute for your current Roadmap, account rules, or FLB setup sheet.

Never infer settings from the words “Daily” or “FLB.”
The current assembly does not force a bar type, interval, or trading-hours template. If you do not have the current setup sheet, contact support before enabling it.
Save the configuration, then enable it
Select OK with Enabled still false. Re-read the Strategies row for the correct account, instrument, and quantity. Then check the Enabled box for the DailyFLBAlgo row.
- Green strategy name: running.
- Orange strategy name: waiting for a flat position before it can synchronize.
- Black strategy name: disabled.
Save a named template only after the setup is verified.
Templates speed up additional account instances, but each copy still needs its account, quantity, and rules checked individually.
Turn on HeartBeat for the exact row
After DailyFLBAlgo exists and is enabled, open HeartBeat, choose Strategies, find the exact DailyFLBAlgo + Account + Instrument row, and turn AUTO on. Confirm the row reaches Realtime and shows healthy.
HeartBeat monitors a configured instance; it does not configure one.
Account, instrument, interval, trading hours, quantity, and risk settings still come from NinjaTrader.
NinjaTrader startup does not prove the strategy is running.
Use the Strategies tab as the source of truth after every restart. NinjaTrader may restore a configured strategy in a disabled state.
PRE-LIVE CHECK
Do not ask, “Did it load?”
Prove what it will do.
Complete this checklist in Sim101 before moving an instance to an evaluation, funded, or live account.
The product card says Installed
Control Center shows Daily FLB Algo ACTIVE and the installed version is current.
The NinjaTrader row is green
DailyFLBAlgo is running, not disabled or waiting for a flat account.
The account says Sim101
Your first operational test cannot send orders to a paid evaluation or live account.
The active MES contract is correct
Instrument, expiration, data series, and trading-hours template match the current setup sheet.
Quantity matches the current phase
Check both fixed sizing and the percentage-sizing switch; do not rely on the account maximum.
Locks match this account
Daily, roaming, HWM, evaluation, and time settings were reviewed rather than left on generic defaults.
Orders and Log are clean
No rejected orders, license errors, connection errors, or unexpected synchronization state.
A restart check passed
After restarting NinjaTrader, you confirmed actual state again in the Strategies tab and HeartBeat.
Automated strategy orders are real when a real account is selected.
Backtests and simulation do not guarantee live behavior. Fills, latency, slippage, disconnections, order rejections, platform settings, and account rules can all change results.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Start with the state.
Not a reinstall.
Control Center shows NO ACCESS. What should I do?
Confirm you used the email attached to the verified entitlement or Whop purchase. Sign out and use SIGN IN WITH WHOP so Control Center refreshes the machine license. If the card still does not show ACTIVE, open Control Center support and include the account email and a screenshot. Never send a password.
Control Center cannot find NinjaTrader 8.
Start NinjaTrader once under the same Windows user, then close it. Confirm that Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom exists; Control Center also detects a OneDrive-backed Documents folder. Retry INSTALL after NinjaTrader fully exits.
Control Center says NinjaTrader is running.
Save the workspace and close the platform. Wait for NinjaTrader and NinjaTrader Core to exit, then select INSTALL again. Never end a process while position or order state is uncertain; verify with the broker first.
DailyFLBAlgo is not in Available strategies.
Confirm Control Center says Installed. Fully close and restart NinjaTrader so it loads DailyFLBAlgo.dll. If it is still absent, check NinjaTrader's Log and NinjaScript Output for load errors and send the exact message to FLB support. Do not manually import or move the DLL.
The strategy says Not Licensed.
Keep Control Center signed in under the same Windows user and machine, confirm the product card says ACTIVE, then restart NinjaTrader. Correct an inaccurate Windows date or time. If the product is bound to an old machine, use Control Center Machines to release the old assignment before retrying.
The strategy row is orange instead of green.
NinjaTrader uses orange when a strategy is waiting for a flat position so it can synchronize. Verify strategy position, account position, and working orders. Do not change synchronization behavior unless you understand the consequence.
Which interval and trading-hours template should I select?
Use the current FLB setup sheet supplied with your access. DailyFLBAlgo uses the primary data series you select and does not hard-code either value. An old screenshot or generic daily chart is not a safe substitute.
HeartBeat does not show the strategy row.
First confirm the exact DailyFLBAlgo instance appears in NinjaTrader Control Center's Strategies tab. Refresh HeartBeat, then match the exact Account + Strategy + Instrument row and turn AUTO on.
